1.) Apple Picking: A book on your TBR that looks so delicious you can’t wait to take a bite out of it.

Flame in the Mist (Flame in the Mist, #1)

Flame In The Mist by Renee Ahdieh

This hasn’t been released yet but it IS on my TBR and I can’t wait to read it! It’s a new Renee Ahdieh book first of all and second of all daaaammmnnn that cover though!

2.) Corn Maze: A book that’s so much fun to get lost in.

Image result for stormdancer book cover

Stormdancer by Jay Kristoff

This is a fantasy book and like most fantasy books it’s so much fun to get lost within its pages! There’s so much mythology and lore that I could read this book forever if I could and the characters are fantastic, I wish it never ended. Good thin there’s still two more books!

You can read my full review of “Stormdancer” here.

3.) Haunted Houses: A book that scared you silly.

Image result for the girl from the well cover

The Girl From The Well by Rin Chupeco

This is one of the most legitimately scary books I’ve ever read, although all it really takes to scare me is some disjointed crawling and creepy Asian ghosts which this book definitely has.

You can read my full review of “The Girl From The Well” here.

4.) Pumpkin Patch: The latest book you picked up (purchased).

Image result for three dark crowns

Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake

This is the most recent book I purchased although I desperately want to purchase more! There’s so many great books coming out! I loved Kendare Blake’s other book “Anna Dressed in Blood” and with the premise for this book I hope it’s as good as I hope it will be!

5.) Scenic Drives: A book that is lyrically beautiful.

Image result for daughter of smoke and bone

Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor

Laini Taylor is easily one of my favorite writers, her writing is so lyrical, beautiful, and flowery I can’t help but love everything she writes. Seriously I’d read this woman’s grocery list!

You can read my full review of “Daughter of Smoke and Bone” here.

6.) Pumpkin Carving: A book you didn’t like and wouldn’t mind carving up.

Image result for one was lost book cover

One Was Lost by Natalie D. Richards

My most recent disappointing read, I wouldn’t mind getting rid of it in order to make room for better books. Although I would NEVER vandalize any book no matter how bad but let’s just say if I was stranded on an island with a few select books…I wouldn’t mind feeding this one to the fire for warmth.

You can read my full review of “One Was Lost” here.

7.) Hiking: A book that was a highly enjoyable romp.

Image result for illuminae

Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

Do I even need to explain this one? “Illuminae” is one of the most fast-paced, action-packed, and enjoyable books I’ve ever read, period.

You can read my full review of “Illuminae” here.

8.) Drinking Apple Cider: A sweet book to curl up under the covers with.

Image result for kingdom of ash and briar

Kingdom of Ash and Briars by Hannah West

This book, if anything, is so sweet and adorable that I’d love to curl up with comfy blankets and re-read it! Fairy tales, even if they are retellings, just do that to a person.

You can read my full review of “Kingdom of Ash and Briars” here.

9.) Jumping In A Leaf Pile: A book that reminds you of your childhood.

Image result for harry potter books

Harry Potter

Obviously.

10.) Scary Movie Night: Your favorite spooky read.

Image result for slasher girls and monster boys

Slasher Girls & Monster Boys with stories selected by April Genevieve Tucholke

This anthology is not only full of some truly terrifying short stories but they’re also written with incredible quality making this my absolute favorite spooky read!

You can read my full review of “Slasher Girls & Monster Boys” here.

11.) Bonus! Costume Party: A book with an eclectic cast of characters.

The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien

I’m going to go ahead and agree with Ashley on this one because there isn’t another book out there with a better cast of characters than The Hobbit!

I really want to read Three Dark Crowns, it sounds so good! The Girl from the Well reminded me of The Ring’s Samara!

I know! Even though I’ve seen very mixed reviews with it but I hope we both enjoy it because it sounds so interesting! And definitely, The Girl From The Well is very, very similar to The Ring! 🙂

Great answers for this tag Heather! I am also so excited for Renee Ahdieh’s new book. I loved The Wrath and the Dawn duology so I have high high hopes for Flame in the Mist! I still need to read Stormdancer and Kingdom of Ash and Briars but I’ve heard great things about both books so I can’t wait to start them, and I definitely agree with your answer for Illuminae. That was one of my favourite books of last year and even today it’s still a favourite of mine! 😀

I don’t think Renee Ahdieh can disappoint so I’m sure it will be amazing!
I can’t wait for you to read both Stormdancer and Kingdom of Ash and Briars since those were both 5 star reads for me so I’m excited to hear your thoughts!
Illuminate is definitely an all time favorite of mine too and I can’t wait to read Gemina! 🙂

Same, if the book itself is as amazing as the cover I think we’ll both be pleased. 🙂
I really hope I enjoy them both. A Kingdom and Ash and Briars was one of my WoW posts a while back so I’m really excited about that one!
Oh I hope you enjoy Gemina then. I seriously loved that book and now I can’t wait for the third one! 😀
