The Jingle Bell Tag

Top Ten Tuesday (7).jpg

December is of course going to be the month where I fill this blog full of Christmas posts and end of the year bookish lists so what better way to kick that off then to start out with the first Christmas book tag I was tagged in?

This tag was created by Richard @ The Humpo Show who also tagged me to do this wonderful book tag! Be sure to head over and check the original tag out as well as Richard’s awesome blog! I was also tagged by Michelle @ Book Adventures who is one of my best blogging buddies so of course I’m going to yell at all of you to get over there and follow her blog!

“All I Want For Christmas Is You…” | What book do you want to see under the Christmas Tree?

The Night Circus

So I gave out a semi-biggish list of books I want for Christmas but I’m REALLY hoping I get “The Night Circus”! This is such a popular book and EVERYONE seems to love it so I want to see what all the hype is about. Also this way Michelle @ Book Adventures can be satisfied, haha!

“Simply Having A Wonderful Christmas Time…” | What book that you have read this year have you enjoyed the most?

Image result for illuminae

SO MANY! But I’ll go with “Illuminae” by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman because it’s action packed and uniquely formatted.

You can read my full review of “Illuminae” here.

“It’s Beginning to look a lot like Christmas…” | Which book has the most festive look to it?

Kingdom of Ash and Briars

I don’t really have many festive (or Christmas themed) books but I think “Kingdom of Ash and Briars” fits this time of year pretty well as it has a very winter-y and pretty cover.

You can read my full review of “Kingdom of Ash and Briars” here.

Elf | What book unleashes your inner child?

Harry Potter is the only honest answer I can really give and I know most people will answers with this but hey whatever! Harry Potter pretty much IS my childhood after all.

The Grinch | Your favorite villain…

Okay so BESIDES Harry Potter characters I’ll go with my favorite anti-hero/villain kind of: Victor Vale from “Vicious” by V.E. Schwab.

You can read my full review of “Vicious” here.

The Holiday | Name your favorite TWO couples…

Without saying all of the obvious, fantastic Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings couples…..

Karou & Akiva “Daughter of Smoke and Bone” by Laini Taylor

The forbidden love trope at it’s finest.

Zahra & Aladdin “The Forbidden Wish” by Jessica Khoury

These two had a slow-burn and their romance was so adorable that I couldn’t help but love them together.

I talk a lot more about why I loved these romances in my full reviews!

What book would you like to give as a present to your followers?

Okay so I mentioned “Kingdom of Ash and Briars” earlier and I’d love to pick it again (because it’s underrated and FANTASTIC) but I’ll pick a different book: “My Lady Jane” by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows. I think this is a great book everyone should read and that I also think will suit most tastes! I really wish I could get you all a copy of this……

This is a fun tag! There are a lot of books on here I still need to read. But The Night Circus is a favorite of mine 😊 I hope you receive a copy. I have My Lady Jane here calling my name!

I have yet to hear someone say they didn’t like The Night Circus so I’m definitely hoping for a copy! I also hope you enjoy My Lady Jane when you get a chance to read it, such a great book! 🙂

Thank you so much for the tag! I can’t wait to do this post! The Night Circus is so so lovely. I got to read it recently and I was so overjoyed with the imagery and gorgeous writing! I hope you get a copy soon! I have seen My Lady Jane around quite a bit and I would love to obtain a copy, but all in good time. Wonderful post! I really enjoyed reading your answers!

No problem! I haven’t heard anyone NOT recommend The Night Circus so I’m definitely hoping to get a copy! My Lady Jane is also a very good book and I haven’t seen really any negative reviews for it either, so hopeuflly you can get your hands on a copy! 🙂

I always limit myself to one Harry Potter answer per tag, but it gets hard sometimes haha!
I read somebody’s review of Vicious recently and it sounded pretty amazing. Onto the TBR list it goes…:)

Definitely! It would be so easy to use Harry Potter for almost every answer but I try to steer away from it if I can. “Vicious” is such a unique book and definitely worth reading! It’s not every day you get a book about morally ambiguous super powered humans! Hope you enjoy it! 🙂
