Well I didn’t get as much done this month as I wanted to but it was still pretty decent! I’m trying to finish up some ARCs (which can take a while if I’m not enjoying them) and still trying to catch up on comments and posts, I’m really awful at this sometimes it’s like I’m in a commenting slump if that makes sense? However, I’m trying my best to chat with you all!
Books Read This Month: 6
I’m continuing on with The Walking Dead graphic novel series (and boy is it not disappointing) and the only book that really blew me completely away this month was “Night Film” which is honestly one of the best books I’ve ever read. I need to get my review up, sorry!

What I’m Currently Reading
I was supposed to have finished this already but reading “Exo” took me too long so here I am, but I’m actually really enjoying this book so far! I’ve seen a lot of “meh” and negative reviews for it so I wasn’t expecting something this enjoyable.
How was your reading and blogging month this January?
What were your best or worst reads?
What are you currently reading?
What books are you excited for this coming month, February?
Let me know in the comments!
I’m glad to know you are enjoying Wintersong. I need to give it a try again. I couldn’t get into it last month. I stopped when she realized who the Goblin King is. Is the book better after that? I didn’t realize there’s a walking dead graphic novel. The TV show is too scary for me haha

I’m not sure which point you mean, like when she realizes the Goblin King used to be a someone or who exactly because after finishing she doesn’t really ever find out who exactly he is, he’s simply the Goblin King.
I am really meh about the book there were things I enjoyed but also there were a lot of bring things too, the beginning was amazing but the second half was kind of a mess.
Mixes feelings!
TWD is definitely creepy but the graphic novels are a lot tamer and focus more on the people than the zombies. π

I thought at the beginning of Wintersong it says the goblin king is actually her neighbor and that they grow up playing together all the time?

No, she just remembers playing with him in the Goblin Grove when she was a child and the Goblin Grove is where the barrier between the Underground and the world above is thinnest so he could appear to her there. He chose to play/appear with her because he liked/saw the “music in her soul”. It’s kind of complicated but he wasn’t her neighbor, he was always the Goblin King. π

I do my best to answer comments and comment back, but sometimes I’m in such a slump, I let myself off the hook. I’m on the fence about picking up The Walking Dead graphic novels. I’m a huge fan of the show, would you say the graphic novels are better? Hope you enjoy your February!

I do think TWD graphic novels are better it moves at a quicker pace and there are major differences between the show and them so even if you watched the show It’s still it’s own experience! π

Night Film was brilliant! I loved that the author left it kind of open so you as the reader get to draw your own conclusions. I never really knew where the book was going and it never failed to keep me intrigued. I am yet to read V.W. Schwab’s books but I’ve heard amazing things about her work so I need to get into those soon.
Lovely wrap up!

Yes I completely agree I think a more closed conclusion would have ruined the mysterious, dark atmosphere the book developed! It’s still hard to belive that an almost 600 page book constantly kept me guessing!
VE Schwab certainly is amazing so I hope you enjoy her books! π

Totally get what you mean by comment slumps! I get them too and then I know I’ve read enough and I’d rather come back tomorrow when I know I’ll be able to leave a great, meaningful comment π I’m dying to read Night Film and This Savage Song, hopefully soon! Also can’t wait to read your thoughts on Wintersong π

Glad it isn’t just me, I feel so bad when I get behind on commenting but you’re 100% right I’d rather wait and leave a good comment then just leave a less meaningful one!
