Down The TBR Hole #5

Top Ten Tuesday(92)

Sorry for the double up this week guys but last week I forgot to do this post on Friday so here we are, getting back on track! I’m finding these posts so helpful in cleaning up my TBR, it feels good!

If you missed my other posts of Down the TBR Hole here they are:

This was “created” by Lost in a Story!

The Rules:

  • Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?
  • Keep track of where you left off so you can pick up there next week!

Book #41

The Alchemyst by Michael Scott

Date Added: June 23rd, 2015

I remember when this series was actually pretty popular and so I bought this before I started blogging because before I started blogging I didn’t know what to read! So after having it sit on my shelf for a while now I just don’t think I’m going to read it, maybe I will eventually but not any time soon.

The Judgement: Go

Book #42

The Golden Lily (Bloodlines #2) by Richelle Mead

Date Added: June 23rd, 2015

I was a huge fan of the Vampire Academy series so when I found out there was a spin off I read the first book right away. Then I bought the second book here and I still haven’t finished it……however, I do want to read it and maybe finish the series eventually.

The Judgement: Keep

Book #43

The Diviners by Libba Bray

Date Added: June 23rd, 2015

I’ve been meaning to read this one for such a long time and I love creepy books full of ghosties. I’ve also heard nothing but good things about it so I’m definitely keeping it!

The Judgement: Keep

Book #44

Flesh & Bone (Rot & Ruin #3) by Jonathan Maberry

Date Added: June 23rd, 2015

I read the first two books in this series and absolutley loved them, the characters are fantastic plus if you like zombies it’s pretty awesome from that aspect too. So I really want to continue with the series.

The Judgement: Keep

Book #45

Zomb-B by Darren Shan

Date Added: June 23rd, 2015

I bought this because it was bargain priced when I was in a bookstore and there’s zombies. That’s pretty much it…that’s my reasoning. Now of course I kind of regret it since I don’t have much interest in reading it at all anymore.

The Judgement: Go

Book #46

Eragon by Christopher Paolini

Date Added: June 23rd, 2015

“Eragon” seems to be a classic YA/MG fantasy book and I STILL haven’t read it but I’ll get there eventually.

The Judgement: Keep

Book #47

Archetype by M.D. Waters

Date Added: June 23rd, 2015

I picked this up randomly in a bookstore because it looked neat but I really shouldn’t have because I just don’t want to read it anymore really.

The Judgement: Go

Book #48

The Dark City by Catherine Fisher

Date Added: June 23rd, 2015

Yet another random bookstore buy and yet another book I probably won’t ever read. Why do I do this to myself!?

The Judgement: Go

Book #49

Horns by Joe Hill

Date Added: June 23rd, 2015

I actually enjoy Joe Hill’s writing style and I love horror so I’m definitely keeping this one.

The Judgement: Keep

Book #50

Heart-Shaped Box by Joe Hill

Date Added: June 23rd, 2015

I read a good chunk of this book and it was pretty good and definitely creepy so I plan on finishing it at some point. I don’t know why I put it down!

I’ve been selling some of my books on eBay just to get some new one’s. 🙊 I just have so much books at home and there are books I’d want to get rid off. 😆

I know, I know! I wanted to read it for Halloween but it’s a bit of a longer book so I didn’t think I could cram it in! If I don’t get to it by the end of the year I’m putting my foot down and reading it next year for sure! I’ve had it for too long!
Glad you enjoyed the latest book in the series, I really, really need to get into it! 🙂

Glad you liked the movie, that was one of the reasons I added the book as well but I haven’t watched it yet since I wanted to read the book first! 🙂

I’ve actually never read Vampire Academy, but I have read all of Bloodlines and really enjoyed it! There were a lot of references to Vampire Academy and cameos that flew over my head, but you’ll probably love them.
Also, Eragon has been on my TBR for forever too! I heard that the first book is amazing and the rest are meh, but, like you said, it’s a classic.

Glad you loved the Bloodlines series, I’m sure I’ll love the VA references too! I think you’d probably enjoy VA as well since you liked Bloodlines!
I’m glad we aren’t the only ones who haven’t read Eragon yet, I feel like everyone has! 🙂

I will definitely check the book AND your review out, thank you for the recommendation! (also I’m always adding books to my TBR it doesn’t matter how many I take off of it, haha)! 🙂
