We are getting to a spot in my TBR now where I want to keep a good amount of these but I’m getting rid of a few still. So it’s kind of boring but yet not? Hopefully it isn’t too boring for everyone!
If you missed my other posts of Down the TBR Hole here they are:
- Down The TBR Hole #1
- Down The TBR Hole #2

Book #51
The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman
Date Added: June 23rd, 2015
This, in my opinion, is a classic and I think the concept is very interesting so I’d really like to read it here eventually.
The Judgement: Keep
Book #52
Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes
Date Added: June 23rd, 2015
I have had this book forever (5 years) and still haven’t read it! I love fantasy and I’ve heard a lot of good things about this series including it being called a “YA Game of Thrones” which I’m all for. Hopefully it’s okay!
The Judgement: Keep
Book #53
The Traitor Baru Cormorant by Seth Dickinson
Date Added: June 25th, 2017
I finally got a copy of this book and I’ve been really, really excited to read it since it involves a woman infiltrating the Empire who conquered her island and an F/F romance!
The Judgement: Keep
Book #54
City of Stairs by Robert Jackson Bennett
Date Added: June 25th, 2015
This sounded pretty interesting when I first added it but I just haven’t ever thought of it since then and I just don’t think I’ll read it any time soon.
The Judgement: Go
Book #55
Graceling by Kristin Cashore
Date Added: June 25th, 2015
LOADS of people talk about this book and I have to see what the hype is about, plus I love YA fantasy.
The Judgement: Keep
Book #56
The Giver by Lois Lowry
Date Added: June 25th, 2015
I kind of feel really bad about this one since I feel like I SHOULD read it but I just feel like I won’t ever actually read it.
The Judgement: Go
Book #57
Life As We Knew It by Susan Beth Pfeffer
Date Added: June 25th, 2015
I added this book because I remember hearing about it when I was still in high school and I just have zero interest in reading it anymore.
The Judgement: Go
Book #58
Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard
Date Added: June 25th, 2015
I actually kind of want to get rid of this one but since it’s such a popular book I really want to read it just to see if I’ll like it or not.
The Judgement: Keep
Book #59
Stolen Songbird by Danielle L. Jensen
Date Added: June 26th, 2015
I’ve heard tons of good things about this book and it sounds very fairy tale-esque with the main character being kidnapped by trolls in order to help them break a curse. So I’m definitely keeping it.
The Judgement: Keep
Book #60
Eon by Alison Goodman
Date Added: June 26th, 2015
I really, really, really, really need to finish this book. It’s badass with an awesome female protagonist and energy dragons. DRAGONS!
The Judgment: Keep

Good to hear! I really want to give it a read just to see what I think of it since it’s super hyped! I’ll have to keep those next two books in mind if I enjoy the first knowing they get better after Glass Sword! Thanks! 🙂

So glad to hear you enjoyed both the Eon books! I bought both at the same time, I’m pretty confident that I will love them too! I mean how can you go wrong with female protagonists AND dragons?!
I am also pretty confident I will adore The Golden Compass too, it just seems like it has everything I enjoy! Thank you Meghan! 🙂

Falling Kingdoms was good but the series does get better the more the series goes on. You can have to just hang-on. The Red Queen I really did love but the main character was not wonderful. She fell flat for me. I still have to read Glass Sword, hopefully soon.

That’s great to hear! It’s always really encouraging to hear that a series gets better and better with each book, gives me something to look forward too!
I’m also glad to hear you enjoyed Red Queen even if the main character was dull, that actually makes me want to read it more! Hope you enjoy Glass Sword too! 🙂

I love these posts. I like seeing what you have on your TBR. If you plan on getting rid of the Giver may I suggest giving the movie a watch? I watched it years ago and haven’t since but I remember liking it when i was in my big dystopian phase!

Thanks Hannah, that’s what I love about reading other people’s Down the TBR Hole posts too is getting to see what is on everyone’s TBR! I’ll definitely give “The Giver” a watch, it’ll be a lot easier than forcing myself through the book. I’v heard lots of good things though so I think I’d probably actually enjoy the movie! 🙂
