This tag was created by Ariel Bissett.
I saw this tag and thought it looked like a TON of fun because you know….I love books and I’d also love to be the ruler of all books. So let’s just get right into the tag!
1.) What book would you make everyone read?
There are literally too many to pick from! I’m going to go with “Nevernight” by Jay Kristoff just because I love the writing style and the plot twists are INSANE, I would love to fangirl with all of my new subjects about it.
2.) What would you abolish in book construction?
Sorry but I’d have to get rid of mass market paperbacks! They’re just too small, the font is too small, and it’s hard as hell to open and bend them in order to read them. I don’t like cracking my book spines.
3.) What author would you commission to write you any book?
Definitely Jay Kristoff, I love his writing style and his books are always 100% entertaining! I would be PUMPED if I had a slew of new Kristoff books in my hands!
4.) What book would you demote to the library basement to make room for new books?
There are also quite a few of these for me as well but I’ll just go with one I happened to read this year. “The Roanoke Girls” would definitely be going down to the basement for me, I just thought it was a mess.
5.) What cover artist would you commission to make a mural?
This is a tough question but I’m going with Sana Takeda who is the artist for the Monstress series of graphic novels! Is that cheating? Her artwork is simply gorgeous.
6.) What characters face would you put on a coin?
Let’s just go with Harry Potter and be done with this question, those books were very important to me growing up (and still now) so I’d definitely put him on a coin.
7.) What book would you award the “Ruler of Books” 2017 Prize to?
I’ve read plenty of amazing books this year but I’m going to have to go with “Red Rising” on this one! Everything about that book was awesome from the writing to the characters to the plot, I could gush forever.
I tag any of you who would like to do this tag!
My friend recently gave me a copy of Red Rising. I’d never heard of it before but I’m excited to read it now

I agree with all of these so much Heather I swear I could just steal all your answers and they’d be true XD Nevernight I throw at people regularly I even have a specific edition that I lend to people so they can dog ear it as much as they like! Jay writing anything would be amazing. Also Mass Markets STOP WITH THE SMALLNESS I WANT TO BE ABLE TO SEE YOUR WRITING. I read Red Rising this year and I cant believed I waited so long, Darrow is such an amazing character and the war games/powered armor is my fave! Awesome answers Heather ❤

Well thank you I’m glad you agree with all of them, you have good taste if I don’t say so myself haha!
Yes Nevernight is so fantastic I really should have a copy for that purpose as well but I don’t have enough readers in my friend group to push it on! I need Jay to write ALL the books, haha!
Glad you agree with me on mass market paperbacks, they are so annoying to read!!!!!
I can’t believe I waited this long to read Red Rising either it is literally perfection, the war games were my favorite part as well!

I agree with mass market paperbacks. I hate them! I had the Game of Thrones paperbacks and I gave up trying to read them because it strained my eyes so bad. I read it on my Kindle so I could blow up the text. I have never read Jay Kristoff books *duck and cover* but I am planning to next month. I love all your answers on this tag ❤

Mass market paperbacks are seriously the worst!! I hate how small they are, reading them is always such a pain. I also hate breaking the spines of books, but with them it’s impossible not to do it.
I haven’t read Monstress yet, but I have seen some of the art done by Sana Takeda and it’s GORGEOUS! I can definitely see why you would commission her to make you a mural! 😀

YES! So glad you agree with me! I also hate breaking spines and it is impossible to NOT do on mass market paperbacks like you said, I just don’t like the way it looks after I finish reading 😦
Yes her artwork is amazing, I could stare at it all day! I really want to buy the 2 volumes just to re-read them and admire the artwork! I also hope you enjoy Monstress when you get a chance to read it, it’s amazing it takes a bit to figure out what’s going on in the setting but once you get into the groove of it it’s a fun read! 🙂

I’m glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t like mass market paperbacks. They’re just so awkward to read with.
Also, I totally agree with you about Sana Takeda. Her artwork is absolutely stunning!
