November Wrap-Up

Top Ten Tuesday(9).jpg

November was a pretty decent month for me concerning both reading and blogging, at least I haven’t burned myself out yet! I actually got through quite a few books too which I was pretty proud of myself for.

I actually read more books than graphic novels too which is also pretty good for me when I have a good reading month. I actually enjoyed pretty much all of these too the only one I didn’t really like was “The Devils You Know” which was very meh and just not very good at all. I’d have to say my favorite reads of the month were “Monstress: The Blood” and “The Empress” because they blew me away completely, they were that good!

Dear Martin

So far it’s just as amazing as everyone has been saying it is. Once I get some free time I know I’ll fly through the last half.

I’m really interested to see what you think of An Enchantment of Ravens; I’ve been dying to read it 🙂 hopefully December is another great reading month for you!

I keep hearing people talk about how great The Diabolic and The Empress is so I’m definitely getting more and more curious as it continues to pop up everywhere! The idea behind the story is quite intriguing – that’s for sure!

Actually, I’ve had a pretty good reading month in November too! I think I read a total of 8 books plus got about 60% into two different ones that I hope to finish soon! As far as my favorite read, I have to give it to Simon VS which I read for the second time this year! And least favorite? The first Trials Of Apollo book. I just didn’t like Apollo as a character and found myself annoyed with him more often than not!

As for my current read, I’m about 60% done with Scarlet and can’t wait to get into Cress after as it’s part of a traveling book project that I am doing with some Germans on Goodreads and I can’t wait to leave all my little notes in the books for everyone else to discover. 😀

I hope you decide to give The Diabolic series a try Swetlana, I’d definitely love to hear what you think of it! I was really surprised by how much I ended up loving both books!

You got through a ton of books, that’s awesome! I “cheat” and throw in graphic novels, haha. I seriously need to hurry up and read Simon because I hear nothing but good things and it must be fantastic if you re-read it!
Sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy The Trials of Apollo but I can definitely see why you wouldn’t like his character as I have heard he can get pretty arrogant and annoying.

Hope you ended up enjoying Scarlet too, I need to continue with the Lunar Chronicles as people have said they get better! 🙂

I’ve never really tried reading graphic novels before but I did read Wires & Nerve this year which I really enjoyed and I can’t wait for the second one to come out next month!

I really did! And now I’m even more excited because I finally get to read Cress because I’m a huge fan of the Cress/Thorne dynamic!

My blogging/reading month wasn’t too bad. I think I did pretty well since I read 12 books I think and kept up with my blog on a pretty consistent basis. My best read was probably Piecing Me Together and my worst read was Top Ten. I don’t think Katie Cotugno is for me, unfortunately.

I’m currently reading My New Crush Gave to Me. I think I’m almost halfway through and so far, I really like it. I think the book I’m most excited for is Foolish Hearts by Emma Mills. I haven’t read anything by her but I’ve heard good things so I think I might pick it up. 🙂

That’s awesome, it’s always a great feeling when you can balance both reading and blogging well in a month!

Hope you end up loving Foolish Hearts too! 🙂

Yessss! This upcoming week will hopefully be the week I write all my blogs posts minus my reviews, of course. 🙂

I’m so happy to start Foolish Hearts and read anything by Emma Mills.

Great reading and blogging month, Heather!!! I really need to continue with Monstress. Down Among the Sticks and Bones and Saga are so great. I’m really interested in This Mortal Coil too!! Shame about The Devil You Know, it’s on my TBR but I think I might remove it because I don’t have time for bad books in 2018 😂

      Thank you Lauren!
I honestly loved the second volume of Monstress more, we get a little more world building which is great since the world is fascinating. Hope you love it as well!
I knoooow I was so disappointed with Devils as it was not what I thought it would be at all, not really horror. I definitely won’t try and persuade you to keep it, haha! 🙂
