December TBR

Top Ten Tuesday(10)

This month’s TBR is pretty much ARCs and library books so basically all books that I have a deadline to meet with. Since I did so well with reading last month I’m hoping to keep the ball rolling into December and get through all of these!

No Saints in Kansas by Amy Brashear

This is an ARC I should have read a while ago since it released last month but I also had a ton of other books to get through. I’m finally reading it! It isn’t terrible so far but it isn’t the best either, I’m wondering how it will turn out. It’s a retelling of Truman Capote’s “In Cold Blood” which is definitely an interesting idea.

Ms Marvel, Volume 1: No Normal by G. Willow Wilson

I’ve actually heard quite a few good things about this graphic novel/comic (I guess I’m not sure which one it qualifies as specifically) and since it was finally available at my library I decided to grab it and see what I think!

Paper Girls, Volume 2 by Brian K. Vaughan

I really enjoyed Volume 1 and placed the second Volume on hold at my library so I’m looking forward to continuing!

The Wicked + The Divine, Volume 5: Imperial Phase 1

I HAVE BEEN DYING TO READ THIS! I FINALLY HAVE A COPY ON IT’S WAY TO ME!

Saga, Volume 7 by Brian K. Vaughan

After that cliffhanger in Volume 6 I REALLY need to find out what happens next. This series has gotten a lot better for me at first I was “meh” but now I’m invested!

There’s Someone Inside Your House by Stephanie Perkins

At first I was a little leery of this book since it hasn’t been getting the best of reviews but after reading the lovely Destiny’s review I’ve been given hope! I’m excited to read it now and just see what I personally think of it.

Between The Blade and the Heart by Amanda Hocking

I recently received an ARC of this and will be participating in a blog tour coming up this month! I’m pretty excited about the book and the blog tour since I’ve never been a part of one before!

Final Girls by Riley Sager

This is another book I’ve been hearing mixed things on but I was SO freaking excited for it so I decided to borrow it from the library that way I’m not wasting my money if it isn’t as good.

A Conspiracy of Stars by Olivia A. Cole

Another ARC I recently received  and releases next month! It’s a YA sci-fi and I’m definitely excited to read it here, the cover is just gorgeous.

The Wicker King by K. Ancrum

I have been waiting for the library to get this book in and I jumped on it right away! I’m curious about it since it seems like an interesting psychological thriller.

Thank you! Sorry for the late reply but I think Final Girls is worth checking out even though it was a bit slow for me I did think the ending was pretty good! 🙂

Amazing TBR! I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on TSIYH and Final Girls! Totally opposite ends of the spectrum for me with those but they were both so polarizing, so I’ll still love you if you hate TSIYH and love Final Girls. 😉 Haha! I have Between the Blade and the Heart on my TBR for this month, too. Wanna buddy read it? No pressure! ❤ Just let me know!

OH MY GOSH DESTINY! I am so sorry for not getting back to you on this comment, I completely missed it for some reason! I would have totally buddy read that one with you! Now I’m all upset with myself, but I am definitely up for a buddy read anytime just DM or something so I know I’ll get it because apparently I’m awful with my blog comments! *hides in shame*

I have Wicker King on my TBR too.I read Paper Girls Vol 1 and wasn’t a big fan of it but I do want to continue the story so maybe I will pick up Vol.2.I only read the first volume of Saga and I loved that one and I am just waiting to get started on Vol.2.

Paper Girls is definitely kind of…odd? I feel like if I read more of the story I’l like it more, hopefully the same is true for you as well!
You’ll definitely love the other volumes of Saga, I wasn’t a big fan of the first 2 volumes but I’ve loved every one after that! 🙂

I enjoyed There’s Someone Inside Your House, though it seemed to be confused about whether it was a romance or a horror book at times. It’s a quick read too!

I got Final Girls from a charity shop because, like you, I heard mixed reviews about it. I’ll be interested to see what you think about the two of them!

I just finished There’s Someone Inside Your House yesterday and I agree it didn’t seem like it could decide between being a horror book or a romance book, haha!
I’m hoping Final Girls won’t disappoint me as much as it seemed to with everyone else, hopefully we both enjoy it! 🙂

It seems to swing between the two and doesn’t quite work. Still very enjoyable though.
Me too but at least it seems like a quick read too. Fingers crossed!
