I actually get rid of a ton! I hit the patch in my TBR full of old books I have zero interest in!

Book # 111
Nightfall by Jake Halpern
Date Added: July 28th, 2015
At one point I actually REALLY wanted to read this because it sounds slightly creepy but I’ve seen almost nothing but “meh” reviews for it so I just don’t want to waste my time with books I’m not sure I’ll fall in love with.
The Judgement: Go
Book #112
The Eye of the World by Robert Jordan
Date Added: July 28th, 2015
A classic high fantasy, which is pretty much the only reason I added it. I have higher priorities on my list for popular high fantasy and I just don’t think I’ll be wanting to read this one right now.
The Judgement: Go
Book #113
Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo
Date Added: July 29th, 2015
This is one that I feel “eeehhhhh” about because I didn’t really like “Shadow and Bone” a TON but I do think there’s potential for me to like the Grisha trilogy more. I think I want to give it another try so let me know if you think the trilogy gets better as it goes!
(P.S. I adore these cover re-designs!)
The Judgement: Keep
Book #114
Waterfall by Lisa Tawn Bergren
Date Added: July 29th, 2015
I bought this because it was either free or really cheap a long time ago when I still used my Nook Color. I really don’t have any interest in reading it.
The Judgement: Go
Book #115
Need by Carries Jones
Date Added: July 29th, 2015
Once again, a book I bought so long ago that I have zero interest in reading it anymore. It’s an urban fantasy that came out during the “Vampire Craze” in YA books, I just don’t think I would enjoy it.
The Judgement: Go
Book #116
Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson
Date Added: July 29th, 2015
Of course I’m keeping a Brandon Sanderson book!
The Judgement: Keep
Book #117
Silence by Natasha Preston
Date Added: July 29th, 2015
My cousin recommended this to me a long time ago and I just don’t have time to get around to reading things that I’m not interested in 100%, I have waaay too many other books to get to!
The Judgement: Go
Book #118
The Maze Runner by James Dashner
Date Added: July 29th, 2015
The only reason I have this is because of the movie….and I don’t really care about reading it anymore at all.
The Judgement: Go
Book #119
The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan
Date Added: July 29th, 2015
I need to read all of the Rick Riordan books, plain and simple.
The Judgement: Keep
Have you read any of these? What did you think?
Do you think I should have kept any of these books?
Do you agree with any of my keeps or discards?
Let me know in the comments!
I wasn’t impressed by Shadow and Bone, and even DNF’d it for a few months before deciding to go back and finish it. After finishing it I thought it was alright, but wanted to read the last two books since I already bought them. I ended up liking Siege and Storm and Ruin and Rising much more than the first book! The series may not be amazing, but the last two books are certainly better than the first one. 🙂 I also loved Steelheart, so I would definitely recommend reading that one.

THANK YOU! Most helpful feedback, haha! So glad to hear you liked the last two books more after not really liking Shadow Bone because that’s exactly where I’m at! I’ll definitely have to check out Siege and Storm now!
Glad you enjoyed Steelheart too, I am under the impression most of his books are must reads! 🙂

Yea, Eye of the World can definitely go. I liked it, but the series is long as fuck because Jordan tends to include lots of unnecessary details. Plus, there are lots of better high fantasy series out there waiting to be read.
The Lost Hero was fun. It’s my fav of the Heroes of Olympus books, I think.

So glad I got rid of it then, if there’s anything I hate it’s a long book/series with unnecessary filler! And there really are a ton of other high fantasies out there.
Glad you enjoyed the Lost Hero! I’m really excited to get back into Riordan’s books! 🙂

It was a good call to get rid of The Maze Runner. I really liked the plot back when I read it, but as I recall the writing itself left a bit to be desired.

Glad I’m getting rid of it then! I’m pretty sure the only reason I got it was because of the movie coming out and then I just had no interest in reading it, good to know I’m not really missing out on anything! 🙂

The Grisha Trilogy does get better and Siege and Storm is one of my favorites because of a certain character that pops in!
