I’ve been doing fairly well with monthly TBRs so of course I’m going to keep doing them, they’re good motivation and it’s always fun to let you guys know what I’m planning on reading for the month! I’ve got a few ARCs to get through this month. I also have some potential Buddy Reads in the works so I’ll hopefully be getting through A LOT of books!
Golden Son by Pierce Brown
I’m finally reading this! Currently! It’s amazing and I have “Morning Star” on hand so I can just jump right into it! This series gives me life!
Morning Star by Pierce Brown
Because I heard the cliffhanger ending in “Golden Son” will destroy me.
The Heart Forger by Rin Chupeco
I was very fortunate to receive an ARC of this one and I’m excited to continue with this series because I adored “The Bone Witch”!
The Queens of Innis Lear by Tessa Gratton
This was a “Read Now” on Netgalley a little while ago and of course I snagged a copy because this is one of my most anticipated reads for 2018!
Blood and Sand by C.V. Wyk
I got an ARC of this on Netgalley and I’m very excited to read it, it’s about gladiators and I believe Spartacus too. So it sounds badass!
Giant Days Vol. 1 by John Allison
I love graphic novels, I’m always looking to try new series too and I heard good things about this one. Borrowing from the library!
Locke & Key Vol. 6: Alpha & Omega by Joe Hill
I’m going to finish this series up and I’m super excited because this last volume should be awesome!
Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Search by Gene Yuen Lang
So I actually didn’t know anything about this graphic novel/series until I watched a video by Booktuber Super Space Chick where she mentioned it. Now I am a HUGE fan of the Avatar series and always wondered about Zuko’s mother which this graphic novel answers. I am now obsessed with getting my hands on it!
Are any of these books on your TBR?
Have you read any of these, what did you think?
What are you planning on reading this month?

Great TBR! I can not wait to see what you think of Golden Son! I can not believe I have not read that one yet!

Thank you! I’m still catching up on comments but I did finish Golden Son and holy crap it’s awesome, probably my favorite in the trilogy as Morning Star just doesn’t seem as great yet. Highly recommend it though! π

I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the Locke & Key finale! I LOVED how it all wrapped up in the end.

As per usual I’m behind on comments but I thought it was a pretty great wrap up! I’m disappointed though because I would not mind more graphic novels set in that world, the keys are so interesting and I feel like there’s so much more to be explored! π

I totally agree! Did you know theyβre making a tv show based on the series, too?

Are they making shows and movies for everything, haha! Man, I would watch the crap out of a Locke and Key TV show! π

Hahaha, right?! But yes, the casting looks great, too! Joe has a few pictures on his instagram if you want to see!

Very interested to see what you think of The Heart Forger. I haven’t decided if I want to read it or not because I liked The Bone Witch, but didn’t *love* it.

Same here, I felt The Bone Witch was a bit to slow with its pacing but I feel like the way it left off at the end that Heart Forger might be a bit faster paced! π

I have not read any of these but they sound amazing. I am looking forward to your reviews!

I can’t wait to hear what you think of Morning Star! You are definitely going to want to keep reading after Golden Son.
P.S. I fell for the Queens of Innis Lear thing, too. They changed it to “preview” after everyone downloaded it. So, just FYI, it’s not the full book and they tricked a ton of people on NetGalley. But I guess you can still read the first few chapters.

Dangit! I saw that floating around on Twitter but when I check my Kindle it still looked like a full book! I feel robbed! I mean I’ll take the few chapters over nothing but that’s just plain rude tricking people like that. If it’s a preview they should label it as one!

Right? They didn’t label it until after everyone downloaded. There were a bunch of angry reviews on NetGalley. I haven’t read it yet, but I submitted a review saying I don’t review partial books (because that’s just dumb). They should know better. At least it’s out soon, I guess.

I agree, it is just dumb. I should probably go submit a similar statement as my review! And like you said it does come out soon so there is that! π

I don’t really have a TBR as I tend to not stick to it anyways but I do have some March releases as eARCs so those should get read in the next few weeks! I haven’t read any of the books on your list but I DO want to read the Red Rising as I feel like I only ever hear positive things about it!

I used to NEVER follow my TBRs but when I have ARCs that need reading that’s usually when I do one too. I highly recommend Red Rising, it’s all around a fantastic book and the sequel Golden Son I thought was even better! I’d be excited to see your thoughts on it! π

Someone on my Twitter timeline is currently reading the second or third book and they are pretty much LOSING THEIR SHIT over how heartbreaking the book is. Which, obviously as someone who enjoys pain while reading books, makes me even more curious!

Oh girl, trust me they are heartbreaking! I’m almost done with the third book and let me tell you these books are so heart breaking it isn’t even funny! I didn’t read it for a whole day because I was so emotionally wrecked! So if you read them steel yourself, haha! π

Oh yes, the ending of Golden Son will destroy you. I cannot wait to see what you think of it!!!

I keep meaning to read Locke and Key. It looks amazing and I do love Lovecraft. Is it as good as it looks?

I think it is! I wasn’t really drawn in by the first volume but they did spend a lot of time setting the story up so it’s understandable I just finally read the second one this year and am completely in love with the series now! I recommend giving it a shot! π
