Book #184
Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake
Date Added: October 27th, 2015

I really enjoyed “Anna Dressed in Blood” so I add everything Kendare Blake writes pretty much. Plus I just love fantasy and the premise of three sisters fighting for the crown sounds awesome.

The Judgement: Keep

Book #185
The Winds of Winter by George R.R. Martin
Date Added: October 29th, 2015

I think I might die before this book ever actually gets published. It SAYS 2020 but who the hell knows anymore? But I’m patient….I’ll wait.

The Judgement: Keep (because maybe one day I can read it)

Book #186
The Dead Girls for Hysteria Hall by Katie Alender
Date Added: November 11th, 2015

I hate to get rid of any YA horror book but I just feel like this one wouldn’t be very scary and therefore not really worth my time.

The Judgement: Go

Book #187
Front Lines by Michael Grant
Date Added: November 12th, 2015

Women in WWII, that’s all I need to know about this book!

The Judgement: Keep

Book #188
Firstlife by Gena Showalter
Date Added: November 16th, 2015

I don’t really have any interest in this book at all anymore and with all of the negative reviews I think I’m making a good choice.

The Judgement: Go

Book #189
These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman & Meagan Spooner
Date Added: December 1st, 2015

Because I really loved “Illuminae” and I’d like to see if this YA sci-fi is any good.

The Judgement: Keep

Book #190
Unearthed by Amie Kaufman & Meagan Spooner
Date Added: December 1st, 2015

See that? I waited 2 years for this book to get published and kept it on my TBR that entire time. It’s “Indiana Jones in Space” so I am going to get a copy and read it!

The Judgement: Keep

Book #191
Legacy of Kings by Eleanor Herman
Date Added: December 4th, 2015

This seems like historical fiction mixed with a bit of fantasy? I’m not exactly sure. Either way I’m a fan of historical fiction when it’s set in more ancient time periods.

The Judgement: Keep

Book #192
Frostfire by Amanda Hocking
Date Added: December 8th, 2015

I just don’t really have any interest in reading this anymore, and I’m kind of at the point where if I’m not super pumped to read it then it shouldn’t be on my TBR.

The Judgement: Go

Book #193
All The Truth That’s In Me by Julie Berry
Date Added: December 8th, 2015

My cousin recommended this to me but honestly I just don’t think I’ll ever read it.

The Judgement: Go

Book #194
The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon
Date Added: December 12th, 2015

I pretty much have to keep this one because it sounds awesome.

The Judgement: Keep

Book #195
Dangerous Girls by Abigail Haas
Date Added: December 14th, 2015

This one sounds great, comes high recommended, and has great reviews. I want to read it this summer because with that cover it feels like a summer book…full of twists and murder.

The Judgement: Keep

Book #196
Jane Steele by Lyndsay Faye
Date Added: December 15th, 2015

Just another book I have zero interest in reading anymore.

The Judgement: Go

Book #197
Into The Dim by Janet B. Taylor
Date Added: December 15th, 2015

I’m kind of in the middle on this one, like I want to read it but also I don’t. I think I’ll keep it for now though.

The Judgement: Keep

Book #198
Queen of Hearts by Colleen Oakes
Date Added: December 16th, 2015

I adore “Alice in Wonderland” retellings, they are my jam! However, I haven’t heard the best things about this one and I don’t want to waste my time with mediocre retellings.

The Judgement: Go

Untitled design(41)

Book #199
Guardian of the Dead by Karen Healey
Date Added: December 25th, 2015

Maori mythology and a series of killings with the victims’ eyes missing. I think this sounds awesome, but I am kind of morbid like that.

The Judgement: Keep

Book #200
The Shadow Queen by C.J. Redwine
Date Added: December 28th, 2015

Lots of “meh” reviews have me thinking this really isn’t a book for me, I don’t like seeing the same recycle plot in YA fantasy.

The Judgement: Go

Book #201
Ruined by Amy Tintera
Date Added: December 28th, 2015

This book SOUNDS like every other YA fantasy plot but a lot of reviews seem to say that it really isn’t, so while I am a bit skeptical I think I’ll still at least try and read it. Just to see.

The Judgement: Keep

Book #202
Sword and Verse by Kahty MacMillan
Date Added: December 28th, 2015

I already have a copy of this one and while I might regret it, I’m still going to try and read it. The plot with the concept of language being protected and hoarded sounds interesting too.

The Judgement: Keep

Book #203
A Shadow Bright and Burning by Jessica Cluess
Date Added: December 28th, 2015

Zero interest in reading this anymore, I don’t have the patience for cliched books with the “chosen one” and multiple love interest tropes. Also I heard the main character names her stave/wand Porridge, like what?

The Judgement: Go

Book #204
These Vicious Masks by Tarun Shanker
Date Added: December 28th, 2015

I don’t know, this just doesn’t sound interesting to me anymore and I’m not really that big a fan of historical fiction.

The Judgement: Go

Book #205
The Heir and the Spare by Emily Albright
Date Added: December 28th, 2015

I LOVE books featuring modern royalty it’s a “guilty pleasure” of mine and this one sounded so good but it’s gotten a lot of negative reviews so I’m just not going to bother with it.

P.S. If you have any contemporaries featuring royalty you’d like to recommend to me, please do!

The Judgement: Go

Book #206
Never Ever by Sara Saedi
Date Added: December 28th, 2015

I have a hard time getting rid of Peter Pan retellings….because they’re just my favorite. My library has a copy of this so I think I’ll give it a try eventually.

The Judgement: Keep

Book #207
Warm Up by V.E. Schwab
Date Added: December 29th, 2015

A “Vicious” short story because I need everything “Vicious”.

I read the first two books of that Eleanor Hermann series – the first was good, but the second fell flat for me. The story started to not feel exciting by the end of the second one. Look forward to see what you think of it!
I am also waiting as patiently as I can for Winds of Winter ..

Thank you! That’s always a bummer when sequels don’t live up to the first book.
I’m at the point where I just don’t think about Winds of Winter so when it’s finally released it will be more like a pleasant surprise, haha! 🙂
