Another month and more new book releases! There are, of course, a few more releases coming out this month but these are the books I personally am the most excited for.
To Kill A Kingdom by Alexandra Christo
Release Date: March 6th
I’ve been hearing a lot of good things about this one and there’s sirens and pirates, what’s not to be excited about here?
Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi
Release Date: March 6th
Because I’ve heard so, so, so many great things and I love fantasy.
Blood Water Paint by Joy McCullough
Release Date: March 6th
I actually JUST finished this one and let me tell you: it’s fantastic. It’s a very powerful, moving, and feminist and I highly recommend checking it out. It’s told in verse and is about the true story of the painter Artemisia Gentileschi.
The Unbinding of Mary Reade by Miriam McNamara
Release Date: March 6th
This one is about the real pirates Calico Jack, Mary Reade, and Anne Bonny and I believe it focuses on a relationship between Mary and Anne. I’m here for the pirates!
The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw
Release Date: March 6th
I can’t say I’m not just excited for this one because of the witches…because then I’d be lying.
Inkmistress by Audrey Coulthurst
Release Date: March 6th
I have to say I was cautious with this one at first because it’s labeled as a prequel to “Of Fire and Stars” which I haven’t read yet (shame on me) but I learned it’s 200 years before the events of that book so no spoilers really! I think this one sounds a lot more interesting too.
Pacifica by Kristen Simmons
Release Date: March 6th
I was sent a copy of this for review, I saw the word “pirates” and was pretty much sold.
Obsidio (The Illuminae Files #3) by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
Release Date: March 13th
WHO ELSE IS HELLA PUMPED FOR THIS BOOK TO FINALLY RELEASE!?
The Heart Forger (The Bone Witch #2) Rin Chupeco
Release Date: March 20th
I just finished my ARC of this and while I still enjoy the world building and characters, it was just way too slow for me.
Tyler Johnson Was Here by Jay Coles
Release Date: March 20th
This one deals with similar topics as “The Hate U Give” and “Dear Martin” and I’m sure it’s just as powerful. Definitely can’t wait for this one to come out!
The Queens of Innis Lear by Tessa Gratton
Release Date: March 27th
I hear this is a femenist retelling of “King Lear” and I’m kind of living for it.
Ice Wolves by Amie Kaufman
Release Date: March 27th
I was sort of sold on this Middle Grade book with the words “ice wolves and scorch dragons”.
In Her Skin by Kim Savage
Release Date: March 27th
I have Savage’s other two books on my TBR and I keep adding her new ones because they always sound like some great YA mystery/thrillers. This one is no exception.
Are you also looking forward to any of these books?
Have you read any of them yet (ARCs etc)?
What are some March releases I didn’t include that you’re looking forward to?
Let me know in the comments!

I have The Wicked Deep, Children Of Blood And Bone and Tyler Johnson Was Here on my list too and I really, really hope I can read them soon! Somehow, my sampler of Children Of Blood And Bone turned into a full eARC so I’ll be reading that by the end of the week so I can review it for the blog on Monday and I can’t wait to get into this world and story! The sampler alone was fantastic so I have high hopes and this book has gotten nothing but PRAISE so far!
Unfortunately, To Kill A Kingdom ended up being a bit of a disappointment for me which sucked because I was looking forward to it quite a bit and the premise sounded really good! I hope you end up enjoying it more when you get to it!
