Top Ten Tuesday: Spring TBR

Top Ten Tuesday(9)

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish.

It has now been moved over to That Artsy Reader Girl.

So I’ve decided to sort of mix in some of my ARCs as well as a few backlist books I need to read into my “spring TBR”, there’s definitely a ton more ARCs though *I have a problem*. Mostly though I think this is a TBR I can stick too and hopefully the backlist books won’t get pushed back.

10.) Furyborn by Claire Legrand

This is an upcoming May release that I was fortunate enough to receive an ARC of, it’s a YA fantasy that is told from alternating POVs and timelines about a girl with magical powers that must face deadly trials to prove she is the prophesied Sun Queen and a bounty hunter who joins a group of rebels in order to search for her missing mother.

Overall I really dig the whole “sun queen or blood queen” thing….

9.) Sky in the Deep by Adrienne Young

This is another ARC I have to read, YA fantasy inspired by Vikings. I’m in.

8.) Blood & Sand by C.V. Wyk

I have been trying to fit this into my reading schedule to no avail recently, I’m hoping to finally squeeze it in since it is a review copy and is also about Spartacus and gladiator fights. Sounds right up my alley.

7.) Little Monsters by Kara Thomas

I really enoyed “The Darkest Places” and it’s probably my highest recommended YA thriller, it’s that good. I need to read her latest book and prepare for her upcoming release this summer!

6.) The Queen of Blood by Sarah Beth Durst

Because…that title though. Also I’ve heard great things and I think I’m ready to dive into a great fantasy story again, the kind that while completely consume my soul. I’m ready.

5.) Onyx & Ivory by Mindee Arnett

Hopefully this one won’t fall into all of the tropey-ness we see in other YA fantasy because the heroine sounds like she’ll be badass and there’s dragons. But mostly dragons.

4.) Devils Unto Dust by Emma Berquist

This one is kind of like a western with zombies, and I love horror.

3.) Pacifica by Kristen Simmons

Pirates. That’s all I need to know.

2.) Royals by Rachel Hawkins

I’m a complete sucker for contemporaries featuring royalty….

1.) A Thousand Beginnings & Endings by Various Authors

This is an anthology full of re-tellings/re-imaginings of folklore and mythology from East and South Asia. And it’s probably the ARC I’m most looking forward to reading because I just know it’s going to be amazing.

I’m so stoked for both Devils Unto Dust and A Thousand Beginnings and Endings. I have so many anthology ARCs right now and I’m totally in an anthology mood, so I want to binge them all, but none of them release right away and I have so many April titles… *whines forever*

Furyborn’s in my list too. 🙂 I want to read Sky in the Deep as well but Netgalley and publisher is not approving my request for an arc. 😦
Hope you enjoy reading all these books. 🙂

Well hopefully we will both enjoy Furyborn! That’s always a bummer not to get approved on NG but I hope you’ll enjoy Sky in the Deep when it is released, it sounds great!
      And thank you! 😁
