Book #304
Julia Vanishes by Catherine Egan
Date Added: June 14th, 2016

While the synopsis does sound a little interesting, it’s a Victorian setting and I find that for the most part these types of settings bore me. I don’t think I’d end up loving it a whole lot, and I’ve found out doing these posts that I don’t have time to waste on books I don’t know if I’ll enjoy a whole lot.

The Judgement: Go

Book #305
Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini
Date Added: June 14th, 2016

I originally added this because it features Greek mythology, which I love, but this seems way too romance focused and very much like the cliched paranormal romances that all popped up several years ago. I don’t think I’d end up liking it despite it’s Greek mythology elements.

The Judgement: Go

Book #306
Air Awakens by Elise Kova
Date Added: June 14th, 2016

This is a really popular YA fantasy series and I’ve seen a lot of great reviews for it, so I’m definitely going to keep this one.

The Judgement: Keep

Book #307
I Hate Fairyland, Vol. 1: Madly Ever After by Skottie Young
Date Added: June 16th, 2016

I do have this on my TBR for the month so I’m keeping it!

The Judgement: Keep

Book #308
Metaltown by Kristen Simmons
Date Added: June 22nd, 2016

I might add this back one day but for now it just doesn’t seem like something that would keep my attention.

The Judgement: Go

Book #309
Beast by Brie Spangler
Date Added: June 22nd, 2016

So when I originally added this I didn’t know it was a contemporary retelling of Beauty and the Beast, and if you’ve been following me for a while you know I’m not a big fan of contemporaries. Definitely not interested anymore.

The Judgement: Go

Book #310
The Thousandth Floor by Katharine McGee
Date Added: June 29th, 2016

Noooope. No romantic, dystopian, dramas for me! Also I will link Elise @ The Bookish Actress’s review because it’s a big reason I’m getting rid of this one!

The Judgement: Go

Book #311
Long May She Reign by Rhiannon Thomas
Date Added: July 1st, 2016

While this one does sound interesting I just have a worry that it will be like every other cliched YA fantasy out there. I’m not really jumping to read it anymore either so it’ll just have to go.

The Judgement: Go

Book #312
Daughter of the Pirate King by Tricia Levenseller
Date Added: July 1st, 2016

Keeping for the pirates! I love pirate books and hopefully this one isn’t as disappointing as some of the others I have read.

The Judgement: Keep

Book #313
Shadow Run by AdriAnne Strickland
Date Added: July 1st, 2016

A YA sci-fi with ships and royalty, sounds really amazing though.

The Judgement: Keep

Book #314
Unravel by Calia Read
Date Added: July 6th, 2016

I don’t really read NA books but I’ve heard a lot of good things about this one so I figured, why not give it a try? It’s nice to try out new genres every now and then just to see.

The Judgement: Keep

Book #315
Never Never by Colleen Hoover & Tarryn Fisher
Date Added: July 6th, 2016

I know this is a 3 part series book and each part is pretty short, I’m not 100% sure what the story is about but I do want to give it a try since Colleen Hoover is an incredibly popular author.

The Judgement: Keep

Book #316
Confess by Colleen Hoover
Date Added: July 6th, 2016

I think I’d like to give another of Hoover’s books a try before reading any more, I did try to read the beginning of it and wasn’t too impressed.

The Judgement: Go

Book #317
Landline by Rainbow Rowell
Date Added: July 6th, 2016

Eh. Don’t really have any interest in this one anymore, I’m not a huge contemporary person and am not sure I like Rowell’s writing just yet.

The Judgement: Go

Book #318
Into The Darkest Corner by Elizabeth Haynes
Date Added: July 6th, 2016

I really enjoy psychological thrillers and I’ve seen a lot of good things about this one, so I’ll keep it.

The Judgement: Keep

Book #319
Delicate Monsters by Stephanie Kuehn
Date Added: July 6th, 2016

Another psychological thriller but this one is YA and I’ve heard it’s really dark.

The Judgement: Keep

Book #320
The Star Thief by Jamie Grey
Date Added: July 7th, 2016

This is another NA but it’s a sci-fi and has well…thievery. So it sounds pretty good and it has some good reviews as well.

The Judgement: Keep

Book #321
The Bear & The Nightingale by Katherine Arden
Date Added: July 7th, 2016

Of course I’m keeping this one because it’s Russian inspired fantasy and I heard it’s amazing!

The Judgement: Keep

Book #322
The Girl At Midnight by Melissa Grey
Date Added: July 8th, 2016

I’ve heard this is similar to “Daughter of Smoke and Bone” which I loved, I know this won’t be as amazing as Laini Taylor’s writing but if it’s comparable I’ll still be happy!

The Judgment: Keep

Book #323
City of a Thousand Dolls by Miriam Forster
Date Added: July 8th, 2016

I heard there are talking animals, or some kind of talking animal companion so I’m in.

The Judgement: Keep

Book #324
Insomnia by J.R. Johansson
Date Added: July 8th, 2016

I thought this sounded nice and creepy but the more reviews I read the less interested I was in it.

The Judgement: Go

Book #325
Parasite by Mira Grant
Date Added: July 8th, 2016

I really like infection/plague/virus type books and this one sounds like just that!

The Judgement: Keep

Book #326
The Nightmare Affair by Mindee Arnett
Date Added: July 8th, 2016

The main character is literally a nightmare, unique concept!

The Judgement: Keep

Book #327
In The After by Demitria Lunetta
Date Added: July 8th, 2016

A zombie book that really reminds me of ‘The Last of Us’, which has me all kinds of excited. I have not played it myself but I’ve watched my boyfriend play and it has a great story.

Great post as always! ❤ It's funny because I have my Down the TBR Hole posts queued up for the next few Sundays, and several of the ones in your post today are in my next few weeks' posts! I also removed The Thousandth Floor from my TBR not too long ago, partially because of Elise's review! I am a little sad to see you remove Confess because I LOVED that book, but I can see how it wouldn't be for everyone! ❤

You’re not missing much by removing Rainbow Rowell’s Landline from your TBR. I read it a few years ago when I was trying to get into her books and I found it to be quite dry and boring. It was one of the better plotted and thought out novels by Rainbow Rowell though and as I hate nearly all her other books, that is truly saying something.

Glad I got rid of it then! I’m keeping at least one Rowell book on my TBR just so I can give her a try since she’s so popular, but I have a feeling that she’s probably not going to be for me….. 🙂

Yeah, that just happens sometimes. At least you still have that one book so you can make your mind up when you get round to reading it.
