April Wrap-Up

Top Ten Tuesday(2)

April overall was an average month, I did hit a bit of a reading slump in there but pushed myself out of it! I would have liked to have read and posted more but I just didn’t get around to it, dang slumps!

Hopefully all of you had a great reading month and here’s to a great May!

Overall my favorite reads from April would have to be “Devils Unto Dust” and “Little Monsters” and all of the graphic novels! I ended up DNFing “Beyond a Darkened Shore”, it was just not grabbing my attention whatsoever. I may end up picking it back up but not right now. I also did not enjoy “Sky in the Deep” which was saddening, especially since everyone else on the planet seems to love it!

Fatal ThroneRoyals

So far I’m not too sure about “Fatal Throne” I’m about 30% into it and it’s okay but I just don’t think I’m into the Tudors enough for this to be all that exciting. “Royals” is pretty cute and fluffy and I think I’ll enjoy it for what it is: royal, romance-y entertainment not to be taken too seriously.

Sadly, Devils Unto Dust was among my worst for April and I see that you really liked it. April wasn’t a great month for YA fiction for me. I’m trying to get into more adult fantasy and I started The Assassin’s Apprentice which I really liked and I’m reading Saga and enjoying that. I’m currently reading Life Like by Jay Kristoff and I’m liking it so far.

Glad to hear you enjoyed The Assassin’s Apprentice, that one is on my TBR! Also I can’t recommend Saga enough it’s a fantastic series, glad you’re enjoying it as well! 🙂

I think I saw someone else who wasn’t that into Sky into the Deep so you are not alone at least.
I dnf-ed a novella at the start of the month. How sad is that?
