New Book Releases for June I’m Excited For!

 

There’s definitely quite a few books being released this month and I’m excited for a few as well! There’s also an honorable mentions section at the end including books that are part of series that I have not yet started or just books I personally don’t think I’d enjoy.

These are in order by release date.

Bruja Born (Brooklyn Brujas #2) by Zoraida Cordova
Release Date: June 5th

I have an ARC of this one that I need to speed read here but am really looking forward to it since I loved “Labyrinth Lost”.

The Bird and the Blade by Megan Bannen
Release Date: June 5th

Another ARC I’m currently reading through and so far it’s really, really good! It’s an Asian inspired YA fantasy.

Neverworld Wake by Marisha Pessl
Release Date: June 5th

I really don’t know what this book is necessarily about, the synopsis is kind of confusing, but it’s Marisha Pessl so I need it.

Sweet Black Waves by Kristina Perez
Release Date: June 5th

A Celtic setting and also a retelling of Tristan and Iseult, I’ve heard sort of mixed things but maybe I’ll check it out from my library.

The Merciless IV: Last Rites by Danielle Vega
Release Date: June 12th

Another Merciless book! I still have yet to read the third one but I’m still excited for this one!

The Mermaid by Christina Henry
Release Date: June 19th

Because I’ll pretty much read any Christina Henry book at this point.

A Thousand Beginnings & Endings by Various Authors
Release Date: June 26th

I have an ARC of this as well and I just know it’s going to be an amazing book! It’s an anthology of East & South Asian mythology and folklore retellings by various We Need Diverse Books authors.

My Plain Jane by Cynthia Hand, Jodi Meadows, & Brodi Ashton
Release Date: June 26th

I, like many other people, loved “My Lady Jane” and I am just as excited for the sequel.
