Giving Thanks Book Tag

I found this tag on Hardback Hoarder’s channel, honestly I get almost all my tags from her channel. There’s just so many great ones!

1.) Name a book that made you thankful you live in your world and not the book’s world.

The entire Red Rising Trilogy, because my chances of being betrayed and brutally killed/maimed are much lower in the real world. I hope.

2.) Give thanks to a book that changed your perspective.

“The Hate U Give” I would say, I just can’t even begin to explain how powerful and eye-opening this book is.

3.) What character would you be thankful for if they were your significant other?

Besides every book boyfriend I’ve ever had a crush on? I suppose I’ll go with George Weasley though, one of my “OG” book boyfriends, haha!

4.) What character would you say “Thanks, but no thanks”?

I’ll go with Eli from VE Schwab’s “Vicious”….like I just really strongly dislike him. He’s got a really warped sense of heroism.

5.) Name a book that made you laugh out loud, just like your drunk Uncle Earl at Thanksgiving.

“Royals” was surprisingly hilarious, it’s just a fun, warm, romp of a book! It also helped that the main character and I have a similar sense of humor but boy did this book have me rolling!

6.) Name a book that made you incredibly angry…just like your drunk Uncle Earl at Thanksgiving.

Okay so angry in a way that I was upset with what happened but still adore the book: “Morning Star” by Pierce Brown.

Angry in a way that I really hated the book period: “Blackhearts” by Nicole Castroman because that was just…..bad. I wanted pirates! Not a period romance!

7.) Finally, name one thing you are thankful for about BookTube (The Book Community, since I blog and don’t do BookTube!)

I’m incredibly grateful for the people in this community, you all make me feel like I belong and that it isn’t “weird” to love reading or fall in love with fictional characters and worlds! I’ll always be grateful to be able to share my love of books with you all!
