Thank you to Meeghan @ Meeghan Reads and Bakes for tagging me to do this! It’s the perfect tag for Christmas, I was starting to worry I wouldn’t have any good new Christmas tags to do this year!
The Rules
- Tag and link the person who tagged you
- Tag and link me (the creator) if you would be so kind, I love reading your answers – Jenn
- Tick/cross off the ones you’ve done
- Tag another 10 people
1.) Received an ARC and not reviewed it?
No, I always review the ARCs I request. I might not get to them until shamefully later but I do get to them and I always review them!
2.) Have less than 60% feedback rating on Netgalley?
Other than when I first started out on Netgalley, no. I always keep it above the recommended 80%. I try not to request too many ARCs and be overwhelmed!
3.) Rated a book on Goodreads and promised a full review was to come on your blog (and never did)? Like every day of my life. Sometimes the book is just so bad or so good that I can’t ever get a good review together and then it never happens. I always have good intentions to review everything though!
4.) Folded down the page of a book?
I probably have at some point in my life but it’s a habit I personally don’t indulge. I like everything as crisp and new looking as possible so I never dogear pages but if that’s your jam that’s fine too!
5.) Accidentally spilled on a book?
Unfortunately, yes. I’m always really heartbroken about it too! When I was in 5th grade I spilled grape juice on my copy of “The Order of the Phoenix” and it’s forever purple stained at the top! I also recently spilled water on my copy of “Empire of Sands” and now the pages are all thick and wavy, I’m just a klutz I guess!
6.) DNF a book this year?
Yes, I’ve gotten to the point in my reading career where I don’t want to waste time on books I’m not enjoying anymore. In case you’re snoopy like me and would like to know which books: In the Vines by Shannon Kirk, Furyborn by Claire Legrand, The Oddling Prince by Nancy Springer, & Beyond A Darkened Shore by Jessica Leake.
7.) Bought a book purely because it was pretty with no intention of reading it?
I’ve been tempted many a time but I haven’t actually ever bought anything with ZERO intention of reading it. I did buy the collector’s edition of “A Darker Shade of Magic” though because it’s pretty but I do want to re-read it so the intention is there! I guess it still kind of counts though doesn’t it?
8.) Read whilst you were meant to be doing something else (like homework)?
Who hasn’t done this? I used to be sneaky and read during class all the time too.
9.) Skim read a book?
Parts of the book, yes. The only time I think I ever tried this was with my required reading in high school if it wasn’t interesting to me, which most of the time it wasn’t.
10.) Completely missed your Goodreads goal?
Never. The only time this will happen is this year actually! There’s no way I’ll read 24 books in 2 weeks, but now I know I need to up my game next year!
11.) Borrowed a book and not returned it?
Nope, because I would HATE if someone did it to me.
12.) Broke a book buying ban?
Book buying ban? What are those? (*sarcasm*) I’ve actually never really put myself on a book buying ban so I can honestly say I’ve never broken one.
13.) Started a review, left it for ages then forgot what the book was about?
I’ve never started a review and left it that long but I have intended to review a book and waited too long to the point where I forgot a lot of the book’s details.
14.) Wrote in a book you were reading?
Nope, I feel the same way about this as I do with dogearing. It’s not for me.
15.) Finished a book and not added it to your Goodreads?
Never! I need every book added to my yearly reading goal! Every book counts!
16.) Borrowed a book and not returned it to a friend?
I had to do a double take because it’s so similar to #11, I’ve always returned every book I’ve borrowed whether it’s a friend, family, or the library.
17.) Dodged someone asking if they can borrow a book?
Nope! I’m actually always begging people to borrow my books, haha! Unless they’ve done something like damage one before I’d always be happy to lend a book.
18.) Broke the spine of someone else’s book?
Nope, I actually hate breaking spines. It’s more comfortable to read that way but I hate the way the spine looks afterwards.
19.) Took the jacket off a book to protect it and ended up making it more damaged?
Nope. I actually always leave my dust jackets on while reading and I didn’t know this before I joined the book blogging community but I guess that’s a more odd thing to do! Like I’m in the minority on that one! I never damage the jackets so I don’t need to take them off for that reason.
20.) Sat on a book accidentally?
Probably! Though to be fair I don’t think the book would be hurt by anyone sitting on it! Unless you did an awkward scoot/slide sit and bent the pages, then I guess you could do some damage.
Tag! You’re It!
(As usual do not feel obligated to do this tag if you don’t want to and sorry if you’ve done this one already, feel free to ignore this! Also if you’d like to do this tag but were not specifically tagged, consider yourself tagged!)

Thank you for the tag! ❤ Haha I love what you said about reaching a point where you DNF more often, I feel that! One of my goals for 2018 was to learn how to DNF books without beating myself up over it and I think I've done TOO well at that goal. 😂

Thank you for the tag, Heather! I am also trying to get better about DNFing books I am not enjoying, but if there is a part of me that wants to know how it ends I will stick it out. And I am usually angry about it. I also am so bad about writing RTC and then never doing it so I have to fight the urge to write those words.
