July + August Wrap Up

Apparently two month wrap up combinations are my new thing, which I don’t WANT but I’ll take what I can get. I’ve been finding blogging and reading for the past few months to be a bit of a challenge and it’s starting to feel more like a job than a hobby. I’m considering taking AN OFFICIAL hiatus but I’ll cross that bridge when the time comes. For now let’s take a look at my piddly wrap up and hope things look up!

Books Read: 8

I have to say I did enjoy all of my reads with the exception of “The Couple Next Door”, which was pretty lackluster. I thought the premise sounded decent enough and didn’t quite understand how it could be that unenjoyable for the others that read it. Now I understand. It was just “blah”. Otherwise everything was pretty great with the stand-outs being “Dark Matter” and “In An Absent Dream” with “Saga,Vol: 9” BREAKING MY HEART!

Currently Reading:

Trying to finish up these review copies! “His Hideous Heart” is an anthology of Edgar Allan Poe retellings and so far it’s pretty good but something about it hasn’t thoroughly captivated me yet. “Sea Witch Rising” lives up to the expectations of it’s predecessor so far, love the atmosphere and writing! “Wonderland” is an anthology of horror themed ‘Alice in Wonderland’ retellings. So far it’s a bit strange but there are a few good ones so I’m pushing on!
