Top Ten Tuesday: Winter TBR

Top Ten Tuesday (5)

It’s been a very long time since I’ve done a Top Ten Tuesday and I think I need it. It’s so nice having a post so easily planned out so it’s the perfect way for me to start posting more regularly! This week’s theme is ‘Winter TBR’ and I’ve got way more than a few contenders but here are the books I’m most looking forward to reading this winter.

These books are listed in no particular order and I will link each title to their Goodreads page.

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish.

It has now been moved over to That Artsy Reader Girl.

10.) Exit Strategy (The Murderbot Diaries #4) by Martha Wells

My next read as soon as I finish “Rogue Protocol” here! I cannot get enough of this series, it’s just all around fantastic.

9.) Network Effect (The Murderbot Diaries #5) by Martha Wells

I have an ARC of this newest Murderbot book and I am SO EXCITED! It’s also the first full length novel in the series so I’m even more excited to read it!

8.) The Other People by C.J. Tudor

I was beyond excited to get an ARC of this one and I really enjoyed how twisty Tudor’s other book “The Chalk Man” was. This one sounds just as thrilling too!

7.) Hark! the Herald Angels Scream: An Anthology by Various Authors

This is a horror Christmas anthology that came recommended to me by Destiny @ Howling Libraries. (I link her review here) I always trust her reviews and recommendations especially when it comes to horror! This is the perfect read for Christmas and I cannot wait to start it here soon!

6.) Dark and Deepest Red by Anna-Mari McLemore

I own three of McLemore’s books and still need to read one! I have an ARC of this one and judging by other reviews her writing is gorgeous and her stories are very fairy tale-esque.

5.) A Queen in Hiding (The Nine Realms #1) by Sarah Kozloff

This is the first installment of a new series that’s releasing each book a month apart so you can “binge read your new favorite fantasy series”. It’s an interesting concept that’s for sure and I have an ARC I’d like to get a start on here soon!

4.) Verity by Colleen Hoover

I’v only read one Colleen Hoover book but I absolutely loved it and have a lot of her other novels on my TBR. However, the way people were ranting and raving about this twisty thriller of hers I had to have it! I finally got a copy on my Kindle and I can’t wait to sink my teeth into this story!

3.) Seven Deadly Shadows by Courtney Alameda & Valynne E. Maetani

I also have an ARC of this book and Courtney Alameda comes out with some interesting books that’s for sure. This is a paranormal book with Japanese mythology mixed in, sounds fantastic!

2.) Red Hood by Elana K. Arnold

Another book I have an ARC of that I’m psyched to read, this is a dark, twisted retelling of ‘Little Red Riding Hood’. I love, love, love dark retellings and I’m sure this one will deliver!

1.) American Royals (American Royals #1) by Katharine McGee

I really enjoy books about modern royalty and this one about American royals sounded right up my alley. I have a hold on it at the library so I can’t wait to get to it!

I just finished Dark and Deepest Red but sadly, it really disappointed me 😦 I guess I just had different expectations. I’m excited to read Seven Deadly Shadows too!

Seven Deadly Shadows sounds AMAZING. I just looked it up on goodreads and OMG. I love books about any kind of mythology. I think it is so fascinating! I must read this. Plus that cover is gorgeousssss. Red Hood also sounds amazing and the cover is beautiful. I hope you enjoy both of these and all your books! I look forward to reviews 😀
