Random Ramblings #6: New Header Image

Hey guys, I really love the freedom of doing Random Ramblings posts. I get to well….ramble! So anyways I’ve been pretty sucky at finishing books and writing reviews lately but I’m trying to kick my own ass back into gear. I think all of you lovelies can expect reviews for “Illuminae” and “Crimson Bound” soon though!

Anyways let’s get to the point of this post…..A new header image on my blog! I figured I would share this because if you’re reading my posts in the WordPress Reader then you don’t ever see my header……tis a shame.

I just got this terrible itch to redo it…almost like spring-cleaning for my blog since it’s beginning to get warm and springy outside here in North Dakota.

Tada!

I kept some of the same elements of my old header image like the book collage because I want it to LOOK like a book blog, yeah?

If any of you are wondering I used Canva to make this image, it’s a LOVELY website for making graphics plus it saves all of your designs which is helpful especially for me.

On the downside I now have to go through my reviews on Goodreads and such to revamp all of them with the new image…oh well!

Aaaaaannnnnddddd that’s pretty much it! I hope you all have an awesome weekend!

Random Ramblings #5: Absent-Blogging

Hey guys! I’d like to take this blog post time to say sorry, I’ve been majorly lacking in my reviewing and posting.

(totally joking..it’s not that hard)

I’ve been super busy with life in general and it’s been hard to find the time to sit my ass down and write up posts, it’s pretty sad on my part. I’m here to say that I think I’ve managed to free some time up now so I can get back in touch with all of you wonderful book lovers!

I’ve had tons of book tags, award nominations, and comments that I have yet to acknowledge so if you’re worried don’t be, (I’d actually be very flattered if you were worried), I’ll be getting around to all of that this week sometime. Not to mention get some damn reviews up for the books I have been finishing!

This definitely isn’t a long post by any means, but I thought I’d give you all an update anyways.

 

Random Ramblings #3 – I’m In A Book Slump!

That’s right I believe I’m in a dreaded book slump.

I haven’t posted anything in four days! FOUR DAYS! I am a disgrace, at least in my eyes.

Yes, if I was a Lannister, Tywin would be kicking my ass right now guaranteed.

I would firstly just like to apologize to all of you fabulous readers who venture over here and read my posts! I’m terribly sorry I haven’t been posting as much as I should recently. I’ve just been busy with family and friends and of course the impending holidays.

One of the main reasons however is the fact that I think I’m in a book slump. Oh no!

Yes I do have an arsenal of TBR books at my disposal but I just lost my motivation to hardcore read right now. It’s terrible!

I think it started with my requesting (too many) ARC’s and I now feel a teensy bit overwhelmed. Especially since they weren’t very good, but I have to tell myself now if I don’t like the book I MUST DNF IT. Right?

I still have some ARC’s I need to finish but I’d like to ask you guys (my lovely readers) if you would be so kind as to recommend some of your favorite books to me?

Yep that’s right recommendation time for me! Have fun with it guys, I’ll be looking forward to it!
