Current TBR Count: 729
Book #280
The Forgetting by Sharon Cameron
Date Added: May 4th, 2016
While this one sounds interesting I just don’t think I’ll ever actually read it.
The Judgement: Go
Book #281
False Hearts by Laura Lam
Date Added: May 4th, 2016
Okay so this is part of the blurb ” Two formerly conjoined sisters are ensnared in a murderous plot involving psychoactive drugs, shared dreaming, organized crime, and a sinister cult.“
How does that not sound awesome?
The Judgement: Keep
Book #282
The Leaving by Tara Altebrando
Date Added: May 4th, 2016
A YA thriller where some kids go missing for eleven years and then one day just turn up. I enjoy thrillers so I got a copy and am curious to see how it goes.
The Judgement: Keep
Book #283
Blood Rose Rebellion by Rosalyn Eves
Date Added: May 4th, 2016
This has sooooo many negative reviews and I just have zero interest in even trying to read it now.
The Judgement: Go
Book #284
Carve The Mark by Veronica Roth
Date Added: May 9th, 2016
I don’t think I really need to explain getting rid of this thing do I?
The Judgement: Go
Book #285
True Born by L.E. Sterling
Date Added: May 10th, 2016
I have to be honest: I got this for the cover. It also helps that it’s a neat sounding sci-fi/dystopian about a plague.
The Judgement: Keep
Book #286
Nemesis by Anna Banks
Date Added: May 10th, 2016
That cover…those YA tropes…I just don’t think I can do it.
The Judgement: Go
Book #287
Rebel Genius by Michael Dante DiMartino
Date Added: May 11th, 2016
He created Avatar: The Last Airbender, a.k.a. the greatest show ever! So I’d like to read this even if it is MG, just to see.
The Judgement: Keep
Book #288
American Girls/My Favourite Manson Girl by Alison Umminger
Date Added: May 15th, 2016
I actually didn’t know these were the same books until today? And I don’t know why? But I think it sounds interesting and it has some good reviews.
The Judgement: Keep
Book #289
The Girls by Emma Cline
Date Added: May 15th, 2016
Okay so I’ve seen mixed things on this one and from samples of the writing I’m not sure if I’ll enjoy it or not. I think I’ll stick with reading “American Girls” for now and skip this one. I can always change my mind later.
The Judgement: Go
Book #290
Say Her Name by Juno Dawson
Date Added: May 16th, 2016
This is based off of the “Blood Mary” urban legend and I need all the YA horror with positive reviews that I can get. This one also seems to be really underrated since almost no one mentions it!
The Judgement: Keep
Book #291
The Space Between by Brenna Yovanoff
Date Added: May 27th, 2016
A half-demon, half-angel main character has me pretty much sold on this book!
The Judgement: Keep
Book #292
The Storyspinner by Becky Wallace
Date Added: June 1st, 2016
I don’t know why I ever really added this one? Like it sounds okay but not anything impressive, I think I went on a TBR add binge or something.
The Judgement: Go
Book #293
The Female of the Species by Mindy McGinnis
Date Added: June 1st, 2016
This is a book about rape culture and I feel like it will be a good, powerful, and important story.
The Judgement: Keep
Book #294
The Girl With All The Gifts by M.R. Carey
Date Added: June 2nd, 2016
I only added this because of how popular it is and I already kind of know more than I should about it so I’m just going to let it go.
The Judgement: Go
Book #295
Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas
Date Added: June 3rd, 2016
I’m kind of reluctantly keeping this because everyone said the series gets a lot better and I’d like to at least give it a try. But I’m skeptical.
The Judgement: Keep (for now)
Book #296
Everland by Wendy Spinale
Date Added: June 7th, 2016
I’ve said this many times before but I’m a sucker for Peter Pan retellings, especially since this one is steampunk as well!
The Judgement: Keep
Book #297
The Lost and The Found by Cat Clarke
Date Added: June 7th, 2016
So I waaaas going to get rid of this one but I heard there’s a really good twist and I LIVE for good twists that I won’t see coming, so I’ll keep it.
The Judgement: Keep
Book #298
Untitled (Andromeda Cycle #1) by Jay Kristoff & Amie Kaufman
Date Added: June 9th, 2016
I’m trash for anything Jay Kristoff & Amie Kaufman write, I want this so desperately!
The Judgement: Keep
Book #299
Zenith by Sasha Alsberg & Lindsay Cummings
Date Added: June 13th, 2016
Okay so I just really, really don’t think I’m going to like this at all.
The Judgement: Go
Book #300
Rocks Fall, Everyone Dies by Lindsay Ribar
Date Added: June 13th, 2016
This is a magical realism/mystery that I thought I’d get rid of but every time I read the synopsis I want to give it a read because it sounds unique.
The Judgement: Keep
Book #301
The Replacement by Brenna Yovanoff
Date Added: June 13th, 2016
I just think this one sounds and looks so creepy, it has some more negative reviews but I think I’ll borrow it from the library to give it a try.
The Judgement: Keep
Book #302
Paper Valentine by Brenna Yovanoff
Date Added: June 13th, 2016
Ghosts and serial murders, I am intrigued.
The Judgement: Keep
Book #303
LIFEL1K3 by Jay Kristoff
Date Added: June 13th, 2016
Of course I’ll keep any and all of Kristoff’s works, this one is so close to releasing too! So excited!

I desperately need to start doing this. My TBR has reached the point of insanity! Haha 😀 I have some of the books you are taking off on my list too, and I know I totally don’t want to keep them on there anymore. Though with Zenith…I know I’m going to hate it…but I kind of want to read it out of morbid curiosity! 😛
Great post as always! 🙂 ❤

Thanks Ari!
Also that’s exactly why I got rid of Zenith I know I’m going to dislike it but I have kept quite a few books because of that morbid curiousity you mentioned, haha. Like let’s see how much of a trainwreck this is going to be! 🙂

I wish my TBR was long enough to do this fun tag but I usually only put books on my TBR that I plan on reading. Your judgements are good but I you could reconsider The Forgetting. It was pretty good; the ending was a bit long but otherwise I think it’s under rated. Happy reading!

I wish my TBR was a loooooot shorter like that! I will definitely reconsider The Forgetting, perhaps after I cut down on the TBR some more because I was a little reluctant to get rid of it, it did sound interesting! Thanks! 🙂

You’re totally not missing much by letting go of The Girls – it really was such a let down! I’ve heard such great things about Everland & The Girl With All The Gifts, so I am keeping those on my TBR for now.
Happy reading Heather xx

Good to know, sorry you didn’t enjoy that one Michelle! I figured it sounded better than it actually was! 🙂

I just finished Margot & Me by Juno Dawson and decides to trawl wordpress for reviews of other books by her. I was so surprised that she also wrote Say Her Name because these two are such differenr genres!
