Top Ten Tuesday:Quotes I Loved

Top Ten Tuesday(9)

Once again it’s time for Top Ten Tuesday a book meme hosted over at The Broke and The Bookish.

This week’s theme is quotes we loved from books we’ve read in the past year or so. Mine will consist of anything from a touching quote to a quote I found hilarious. Lots of mish mashing.

Let’s get started shall we?

1.) “When you’re in hell, only a devil can point the way out.” – “Half a King” by Joe Abercrombie

2.) “You believe that magic is an equal. A companion. A friend. But it is not. The stone is proof. You are either magic’s master, or its slave.” – “A Darker Shade of Magic” by V.E. Schwab

3.) “Fear is a seed that, once planted, never stops growing” – “Snow Like Ashes” by Sara Raasch

4.) “Love is a force unto itself, sayyidi. For love, people consider the unthinkable…and often achieve the impossible. I would not sneer at its power.” – “The Wrath and the Dawn” by Renee Ahdieh

5.) “There is not always a good guy. Nor is there always a bad one Most people are somewhere in between.” – “A Monster Calls” by Patrick Ness

6.) “The Noise is a man unfiltered, and without a filter, a man is just chaos walking.” – “The Knife of Never Letting Go” by Patrick Ness

7.) “Yes, of course duct tape works in a near-vacuum. Duct tape works anywhere. Duct tape is magic and should be worshiped.”
“The Martian” by Andy Weir

8.) “There are other ways of showing someone you love them, such as fetching them out of Hell.” – “Lips Touch: Three Times” by Laini Taylor

9.) “Money’s supposed to fix problems, not give you more, but I guess life ain’t that straightforward.” – “Vengeance Road” by Erin Bowman

10.) “The world is at peace. And really, if the odd princess has a hard day, is that too much to ask?” – “The Scorpion Rules” by Erin Bow

That wraps up this week’s Top Ten Tuesday. Sorry there’s not a lot of content, but this week’s theme was pretty simple and to the point. I don’t have a lot to say about quotes.

Are there any quotes on my list that you love? Are there any from the same book you like more? Feel free to let me know in the comments AND link your Top Ten Tuesday so I can come check it out!

It’s almost hard for me to find a serious quote in that book since Watney is so hilarious! I like the one you decided to go with though.
