March Book Haul!

Top Ten Tuesday(1).jpg

I feel like I’ve been doing a haul every month now which is both a good and bad thing! The good thing is: books! The bad thing is: my bank account probably isn’t too happy with me….

There are so many great books though I mean how can I resist? As usual I’ll do the eBooks first and then move onto physical ARCs and copies I have purchased.

Bruja Born (Brooklyn Brujas #2) by Zoraida Cordova

Yes the sequel to “Labyrinth Lost” is finally mine! Super excited to continue and see what else Zoraida Cordova has in store for me!

(Full review for book one here, you should definitely get into this series!)

The Dark Beneath The Ice by Amelinda Berube

It’s no secret that I really, really love YA horror and this one sounds good AND the cover is pretty gorgeously creepy. Something supernatural is after Marianne and when an exorcism only makes it angrier demanding she return what she stole, Marianne must uncover the truth before it’s too late.

Sounds awesome right? I think so!

Ruin of Stars (Mask of Shadows #2) by Linsey Miller

Another amazing sequel to an amazing book that I’m really excited to read! I was so pleasantly surprised by “Mask of Shadows” and how action packed and intriguing it was, the main character is also genderfluid!

(You can read my full review of the first book here so I can convince you to go read it!)

Obsidio (The Illuminae Files #3) by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff

IT’S FINALLY MINE! Now I just need to carve out a few hours this weekend and binge read!

Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi

Because of course I need to get my hands on this diverse fantasy whose synopsis vaguely reminds me of Avatar: The Last Airbender.

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid

I bought this based solely on one amazing blogger’s review, Melanie @ Mel To The Any! I’ve linked her original review and I highly suggest checking it out, this book sounds amazing and she definitely swayed me with her extremely thoughtful review.

Last Star Burning by Caitlin Sangster

This book sounds really neat, it’s a sci-fi/dystopian about a girl whose mother betrayed the entire nation and in a post-plague world she must now try and escape the city after being blamed for a bombing.

Pitch Dark by Courtney Alameda

I enjoyed Alameda’s other book “Shutter” and this one sounds a lot like the Alien franchise, which I’m here for.

First We Were IV by Alexandra Sirowy

To be honest just from reading the synopsis I really don’t have any idea what the book is about. I don’t think I want to though, I think with this mystery/thriller the more surprised I am the better!

City of Saints and Thieves by Natalie C. Anderson

The main character is a refugee from the Congo turned thief, this is another book that’s hard to sum up from the synopsis since there’s a lot going on. Either way it sounds really, really good.

Shimmer & Burn by Mary Taranta

This seems very underrated but it has some great reviews and I love YA Fantasy with magic and politics!
The Rattled Bones by S.M. Parker

This one is about a girl who has ghostly visions of her island’s mysterious past, just that sentence right there is enough to make me want to read it.

A Beautiful Friendship by David Weber

I actually saw this recommended on Instagram for those of us that enjoy talking animal companions in our books. This is a sci-fi that takes place on a foreign planet and a woman befriends one of the native alien species. Also they’re basically tribes of alien tree cats, I’m here for it.

The Queen Underneath by Stacey Filak

I heard this is a Sleeping Beauty retelling where the rulers of the Under and the Above have both died and Gemma and Tollan have now taken their respective places. It’s also LGTBQ+ as it states in the synopsis it states Tollan falls for another young man and it also says this story challenges gender roles, which is awesome.

From The Earth To The Shadows (Valkyrie #2) by Amanda Hocking

The sequel to “Between the Blade and the Heart” which I really enjoyed, it’s very fast paced and full of different mythologies from around the world. I’m excited to see how it ends!

(You can read my full review for the first book here if you’re interested!)

Ruin of Stars (Mask of Shadows #2) by Linsey Miller looks so interested. I am going to have to see if the public library has it as well as the first one.

Wow that’s a lot of books 🙂 I love it… 🙂 I’ve been eyeing the Bruja Born for a little while now, it keeps popping up everywhere I look, but I had no idea it was part of a series… I guess I’ll have to pick up the first book 📚 (great review for it by the way) and see what it’s all about for myself. 😊💕

March must’ve been filled with some great books! Out of curiosity, have you read Obsidio yet? I’ve been too scared to start it after everyone has been telling me that it will mess with my heart. XD

Nope I haven’t! I’ve got so many review copies to get through but I’m also pretty nervous to start Obsidio because I don’t want to be emotionally ruined! 🙂

If it makes you feel any better I’m behind on posts AND comments, thus the extremely late comment! I’ve heard loads of good things about The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo as well so hopefully it’s amazing and thanks Hannah! 🙂
