February Wrap-Up

Top Ten Tuesday(26)

I feel like February was kind of an average month for me as far as things go, I didn’t accomplish all that I’d hoped to but I kind of got bogged down reading “The Heart Forger” because the pacing is a bit slow.

I got a few books read and a few posts done but I’m hoping to crack down here in March and get MORE done since I have quite a few books that need to start getting read!

I also decided to start featuring some of my Bookstagram pictures in my monthly wrap-ups, as I had a few of you say you don’t have Instagram but would like to see some of my photos!

Books Read This Month: 9

Not a great reading month but definitely not a bad one either! I kind of feel like I cheated with reading the 3 part Avatar graphic novels but shhhh they still count! I also feel kind of emotionally wrecked after reading a lot of these because the finale for Locke & Key, Golden Son, Morning Star, and Song of Achilles were all terrible saddening at times. BUT I still loved all of them so there’s that!

I would have to say both “Golden Son” and “Morning Star” were my favorite reads of the month though.

The Heartforger (The Bone Witch #2) by Rin Chupeco

I’m over 200 pages in and it still kind of feels like nothing is happening, which is sad. I mean the pacing was slow in the first book but I figured it’d be a bit more action packed in the sequel, the characters are still all great but I’d like to see some more plot twists and world building. I still have 300 pages for that though, so fingers crossed!

Great wrap up! I am so jealous that you finished the Red Rising series! I loved the first book and I do not know why I have been putting off the rest of the books. I am so glad that you loved them!

I really want to read The Song of Achilles!

I really hope you enjoy both Song of Achilles and the rest of the Red Rising series as well! I have to say I think “Golden Son” is my favorite in the trilogy and I advise you to have “Morning Star” on hand though after finishing it! 🙂

I don’t know about the others but I know Song of Achilles is definitely a book where you need to read something a little lighter afterwards, Avatar is perfect for that! I haven’t actually started the Red Rising series, though I have a copy of the first book on my shelf 🙂

I agree, Song of Achilles was definitely a very sad and depressing book. I hope you enjoy Red Rising I loved the whole trilogy and can’t recommend it enough! 🙂
