Black Friday Book Haul 2016!

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving (if you celebrate it) and if you all went out shopping I hope you got everything you went out for!

I picked up more than a few books for Black Friday and even a few other books this last week as well so I’ll be throwing those in with this book haul too. 15 of these books were from Book Outlet which is my absolute favorite online shop to buy books from because they’re so cheap, no I am not an associate for them I just really LOVE good deals on books! So if you guys want in on their Black Friday deals it’s 30% off the entire website until Tuesday November 29th!

These are a few of my other great deals during the week  I got on my Kindle that are unrelated to Black Friday shopping but hey it’s a book haul! “Replica” is the only book in this bunch that I got during shopping Black Friday at Target.

A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray

I got this on Amazon Kindle Books for only $1.99 and everyone seems to like Libba Bray’s books so here I go. Also this is still on sale if any of you are interested I’ll leave a link!

Amazon Link: “A Great and Terrible Beauty”

The Witch Hunter by Virginia Boecker

This was only $2.99 on Kindle and even with quite a few negative reviews I’d like to give this one a shot. Since my library doesn’t have a copy (but they do have the sequel for some reason) I figured getting it at this price was the best way to read it. It’s currently $3.50 if any of you are interested I’ll leave a link for this as well.

Amazon Link: “The Witch Hunter”

The Madman’s Daughter by Megan Shepherd

This was on sale for $1.99 and it sounds like it may be interesting regardless of the few negative reviews I’ve read. Might as well try it especially at this price and once again I’ll leave a link!

Amazon Link: “The Madman’s Daughter”

Graceling by Kristin Cashore

This was a day only sale for $1.99 and I’ll tell you I have been waiting for a good deal on this book FOREVER! I have yet to see any negative reviews for it and I love YA Fantasy so I’m looking forward to reading it.

Replica by Lauren Oliver

I’ve been up and down about this book but seeing it for sale for $9.99 at Target on Black Friday I couldn’t let it go since this is a new release.

The rest of these books are ALL of the Book Outlet website as a part of their Black Friday sale.

After The End by Amy Plum

This is a book about the world after it’s been ravaged by nuclear radiation from World War III and a girl who comes back from a hunting trip to find her entire clan gone. She sets out to find them and discovers that the world in intact and there was never any war and everything she was told is a lie.

Doesn’t that just scream interesting? I think so.

Blackbringer by Laini Taylor

A middle grade book about warrior fairies and all I have to say is: Laini Taylor. That is all.

Blood Red Road by Moira Young

This one is dystopian and for some reason it really reminds me of Mad Max so combine that with the fact that it has fabulous reviews I had to buy it.

Half the World by Joe Abercrombie

Because I need to finish this series.

Half A War by Joe Abercrombie

Again…I need to finish this series.

Charm & Strange by Stephanie Kuehn

I actually have one of Stephanie Kuehn’s other books “Delicate Monsters” which sounds amazing and so I don’t know what compelled me to buy another one when I haven’t read the other. It sounds unique and has good reviews so I couldn’t go wrong with how cheap it was as well, like $2.00 I think.

Half Bad by Sally Green

Witches and Bad Witches! There’s a lot of mixed reviews but I think the premise sounds worth reading. Plus I don’t have enough witchy books.

Jackaby by William Ritter

Recommended to me by Ariana @ The Quirky Book Nerd and I’ve been dragging my feet on borrowing it from the library so now that I have my own copy I won’t have an excuse.

Living Dead Girl by Elizabeth Scott

I was curious about this book before but after reading Lauren @ Wonderless Review’s review of it I had to get it.

Origin by Jessica Khoury

So I absolutely loved Jessica Khoury’s other book “The Forbidden Wish” and if the writing in this one is half as good as it was in that one it will be worth it.

Seraphina by Rachel Hartman

Dragons. That is all.

The Book of Blood and Shadow by Robin Wasserman

I’ve heard this being referred to as YA “Da Vinci Code” and that’s all I need to know. I love “puzzle” books if that makes sense.

The Sacred Lies of Minnow Bly by Stephanie Oakes

Great reviews have convinced me this book is worth my time and money.

The Unquiet by Mikaela Everett

Parallel universes have always interested me so a book about people being trained to kill their alternate selves and take their places sounds SO GOOD.

Zombies Vs. Unicorns by Various Authors

Just look at the title and tell me you aren’t at least a little curious.

Black Friday Bookhaul

book haul.jpg

I’m FINALLY posting my meager bookhaul from last weekend! It’s just three books but hey that’s cause enough for me to do a post about them, lets you guys know what to be looking for as far as reviews go.

Not to mention how excited I am to read these books soon!

Without further ado here’s my Black Friday Bookhaul!

1.) Soundless by Richelle Mead

I’ve heard a lot of mixed reviews on this one so I was a little leery about purchasing it. However, in the end my love for Richelle Mead and pretty covers forced me into buying it. I absolutely adored Mead’s Vampire Academy series and I’m hoping I’ll love this as well.

Also how could I say no to a SIGNED COPY?

2.) Da Vinci’s Tiger by L.M. Elliot

This is one I’ve actually been looking forward to reading for a while, I’m a sucker for anything in historical Italy especially the Renaissance era. Let’s just say I played a little too much Assassin’s Creed II….

Anyways I was IN LOVE with this book’s previous cover and I’m heartbroken it got changed to this but if the book is as good as I think it will be then I’ll live.

See? Isn’t this so much better!

3.) The Young Elites by Marie Lu

Now an interesting blurb and a lot of hype is what first led me to this book. My library has an ebook copy of it but it was ALWAYS checked out and I’m not a patient lady. So I decided for $10 I’d just buy my own copy. If it’s as good as people say it is I won’t be disappointed even though I wasn’t really  a big fan of Lu’s other book “Legend”. I am a fan of fantasy though so hopefully I’ll love this one!

So that wraps up my Black Friday Bookhaul! Thanks for reading guys! Hopefully I can get around to reading these bad boys soon.

What did you guys get this last Black Friday? Are there any books on here you’re waiting to read as well? Let me know in the comments!

Random Ramblings #4: October Bookhaul (Plus Birthday Bookhaul)

random ramblings

Originally I was going to do a birthday bookhaul post, but then I waited too long and got some more books so now I’m just combining the October books I got with the books I received for my birthday. September 29th is close enough to October right? I think so.

Don’t you love seeing stacks of new books?

I know you do, don’t lie.

So let’s dissect that stack shall we?

“Vengeance Road” by Erin Bowman

Part of the Birthday Bookhaul group, isn’t that cover just gorgeous?

I’ve heard good things about this book and I’ll definitely get to reading it ASAP.

“Walk on Earth a Stranger” by Rae Carson

Once again part of the Birthday Bookhaul, and again a gorgeous cover.

I haven’t read anything by Rae Carson before but tons of people rave about her other series “Girl of Fire and Thorns” series and even though I haven’t read that series,  I expect this new series of hers to be good.

“The Sword of Summer” by Rick Riordan

This one was obtained by me freaking out the day it was released and running to Target and buying it. Boom. Done.

I’m sure I will just devour it like I did the Percy Jackson series.

“The Scorpion Rules” by Erin Bow

Birthday Bookhaul. I’m ALMOST finished with it as of right now and let me tell you it is absolutely awesome. Review will be coming along shortly if you’re interested!

“Dreamstrider” by Lindsay Smith

I bought this little beauty on a whim this last week because it sounds so good plus…..

GORGEOUS COVER! I have so much cover love for this book!

I’ve heard mixed reviews, but I’m hoping it’s as great as its cover….

“Six of Crows” by Leigh Bardugo

I finally got this book!!!!!!!!

Although this book came out ON my birthday I didn’t get it as part of my Birthday Bookhaul, unfortunately.

I’m definitely, DEFINITELY planning on reading this next.

“Lips Touch: Three Times” by Laini Taylor

Birthday Bookhaul, naturally because I asked for it a thousand times from my boyfriend and he really came through for me.

I finished this recently and JUST posted a review for it, which you can find here.

“A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms” George R.R. Martin

I bought this complretley on a whim, I saw George R.R. Martin and A Song of Fire and Ice prequel novella and I HAD to own it.

Hopefully this will help tide me over until “Winds of Winter” comes…

*shakes fist and book at George R.R. Martin*

You’re also basically getting a sneak peak of my reading schedule for the next month or two. Exciting.

Random Ramblings #3 – Mini Bookhaul (Sept. 2015)

Ahhh! I’ve been so busy all day I didn’t get time to do my TTT! Never fear though I’ll finish that baby up and post it tomorrow…..still counts.

Anyways thought I would share my mini bookhaul from over the weekend.

I’m getting all geared up for October! Since ya know…..scary books…plus “The Martian”. But the movie for that comes out in October so I must prepare!
I’m pretty excited for some good YA horror books in time for Halloween (the best holiday).
Have any of you read these books? If so comment and let me know what you thought!
